I sit, Out in the withdrawn and lonely air. I light up the joint in my hand, Breathing in slowly, Just one, At peace. As I commune, With everyone but also no one, My cat ambles past. She's just eager to share some body heat, Just like a million other relationships. There sit, still and content, Us two, In the soothing detached night. The moon crests, Past obscuring and dampening silhouettes. It watches like a friend, Not always there but never forgotten. I exhale smoke from my lungs, Up into the sky. A welcoming salute across the distance. There lay in silent recognition, We three, In the reflected glory of our stars.

My Year in Motion

Hey. I'm back, all exams are finished and most of my uni stuff is sorted (mentally if not physically). Well, where do you begin? It's been quite a while. I could keep things simple and just talk about friday, my last exam period (if that's not to selfish?). I started the week as normal but managed to work myself up into a swell of bitter neurosis' (plural?) about failing and being stuck 'here' for a good long time. Then i started finding dead birds every where i went and that seemed like a bad sign. A neutered dream of flight.
